Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PixelPalette ("we", "us", "our"), accessible at https://yourdomain.com, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and tools. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Uploaded images

Our color palette extractor processes the image you upload in server memory only. The image is analyzed during your request and automatically discarded when the request completes. We do not save, copy, share, sell, or otherwise retain uploaded images, and we have no access to them after your session ends.

2. Information you provide

If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists or share this information with third parties, except where required by law.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server may automatically record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used in aggregate for security (e.g., preventing abuse of the upload tool) and to understand general site usage. It is not used to personally identify you.

4. Cookies

We use a minimal session cookie that is strictly necessary for the tools to function securely (it powers the anti-forgery protection on our forms). Third parties listed below may also set cookies as described in their own policies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the tools from working.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Specifically:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info.

6. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics or Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, approximate location at country level, device category). This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.

7. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing or request data portability. Since we store almost no personal data — images are never retained and contact messages are kept only as email correspondence — fulfilling these requests is usually simple. To exercise any right, contact us at contact@yourdomain.com. California residents may additionally exercise rights under the CCPA; we do not sell personal information.

8. Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data security

The site is served over HTTPS, uploads are strictly validated (file type, size, and dimensions), and uploaded files are never written to permanent storage. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but our architecture minimizes risk by design: data that is never stored cannot leak.

10. External links

Our guides may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact

For any privacy-related question or request, email contact@yourdomain.com or use our contact form.
