Hi everyone,
First, I’d like to thank everyone who has left comments, kept visiting, and read my posts during the past year I’ve been pretty inactive.
2022 was…a lot. I’m still going through a lot in my personal life and probably won’t be feeling up to writing about it publicly for a while, but I did want to post a quick update.
As of February, I’m actually back in the US again, which is good, but it was difficult getting here. I’m no longer with my husband, which is also a good thing. Things had been rough the past few years, and he ended up becoming abusive. While my kids and I went through a lot, we are now safe and back with family and trying to recover.
I am grateful to everyone who has helped me over the past year and I want to let you all know that I WILL BE POSTING MORE! It just might take a little time. Now I have to get a full time job while being the only parent for my kids. Again, I’m lucky to have help, and I have been stitching a lot too! I have some finishes I want to post about even 🙂
Hope everyone has had a better 2023 so far. I just read that March, in addition to being Women’s history month, is also National Crafting Month here in the US. I’m planning to get back into writing and cross-stitch more actively. Within a week I hope to have a stitchy post up. However, I do have my moving truck coming on Friday, but I want to try and connect more with the community. While I’m ready to blog, I’m still a bit hesitant to get back on social media. Something about posting on Instagram or Facebook seems scarier, but I’ll try to cross that bridge soon.
Again, thanks for reading and I hope to post again soon. And to anyone else who has gone through domestic violence, remember you aren’t alone. There’s plenty of resources for victims or people who just want to help. A good place to start is the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
